The film is about young people suffering from a life-threatening disease: cancer. They go through existential experiences, crises and reflections that can teach us "immortals" a good deal about life. It is a paradox that in encountering death we can learn more about how to live. So although the background is sickness and death, this is a film about life. We experience the joys and sorrows, hope and despair, and soon feel we know all three persons intimately, taking part in trips and discussions, meeting friends of the main characters, and partaking in their innermost feelings. |
